Process
"Learning as a student can be difficult"
Studying, particularly in Indonesia, can be very challenging due to the extensive content that students need to comprehend. Consider a student in their 12th or gap year who aspires to continue their education in a university; they must master at least five learning materials from various subjects.
"How might we help Zenius users utilize the learning tools and cultivate optimal study habits??"
🎯 Zenius set ambitious target after the launch: Increase learning conversion around 50%-60%
The research team has gathered insights from users through comprehensive research.
The research team provided insights into the pain points and challenges faced by Zenius users:
📚 Unintegrated learning features
🤷 User don't have proper knowledge to manage their learning journey
⏰ Time management
Analysis and Concept Stage
Conducting competitor research, user identification, user flows, and wireframing.

🔎 Observations from the competitors
I conducted a thorough examination of apps from competitors with similar functions, comparing each one to gather insights.
• The learning goals are not aligned with the user's problems.
• The UI doesn't look good
• The mobile experience is really poor
🎉 Opportunities
• Build a calendar features that eye-catching
• Offer better usability
• Design solutions aligned with the user's learning journey.
🔎 Comprehending student study habits.
We collaborated with the research team and obtained insights into studying habits, specifically focusing on the study habits of 12th-grade students.
Majority (53.48%) are studying up to 2 hours a day
We support Zenius users by enhancing the efficiency and clarity of the learning schedule feature.
With the needs and goals in mind, I began by mapping out all requirements through discussions with stakeholders and other teams, including the content team and researchers.

After mapping out all the requirements, I proceeded to create a flow for users navigating through ZenCalendar.

Sketch and Initial Prototype
I translated the idea into sketches using pen and paper to visualize and assess how the flow would appear.

I also crafted a low-fi wireframe to present my idea to relevant stakeholders, aiming to validate it and gather valuable feedback and insights.

Validate the Idea with Stakeholders, PD Lead & PM's—
Next, I sought feedback on my initial designs, recognizing the importance of validating my ideas with relevant stakeholders, PD Lead, and PMs.
I proactively reached out to these key figures to delve deeper and engage in discussions about my ZenCalendar design approach.
—and we need more Flexibility and Efficiency.
After engaging in discussions with PMs and key stakeholders, it became evident that there is a need for further improvements in terms of flexibility and efficiency to minimize redundancy and enhance the overall efficiency of the features.

We gathered several feedback points from our discussion, primarily focusing on enhancing the overall effectiveness of the experience. Consequently, I delved deeper into understanding the user experience, leading to iterative improvements for this idea.
Re-Iterate design experience
I incorporated numerous changes based on feedback from stakeholders and the PM, having summarized key insights. Following the exploration phase, a review session with relevant stakeholders was crucial to discuss the design revisions. To address earlier feedback on efficiency and clarity, I presented three design experiments, showcasing variations that align with their input.

-Hence, the decision was made to proceed with the implementation of Design B.

Outcome
We introduced the first iteration of ZenCalendar, and the feedback has been exceptionally positive:
1. The overall conversion rate from visiting the calendar to clicking on tasks is approximately 65%
2. The adoption rate from the home page (DAU) to the calendar stands at around 7% on a daily basis.
3. Daily task completion rates range from 27% to 57%, with an average of 8% of users achieving 100% completion daily.
Now, all users are able to use this fundamental part of the Zenius apps.
