ZenCore

Overview

We are crafting a new Zenius experience named ZenCore. The primary objective of this feature is to assist users in enhancing and monitoring their fundamental knowledge. Often, inadequate foundational understanding hinders comprehension during study sessions. ZenCore is designed to address this issue, aiding users in fortifying their educational groundwork.

"Many students study without a solid foundation"

Students often commence learning without a solid foundation. The significance of a strong foundation lies in its universal applicability across various fields of knowledge. Fundamentals serve as a cornerstone for future individual development, facilitating optimal absorption of lessons and additional knowledge.

"How might we make Students study without feeling bored and create the experience of learning more enjoyable and fun?"

My Roles

I was selected to contribute to this project by designing the visual elements for the feature. Additionally, as part of this project's scope, I am tasked with establishing the art direction and visual concept for Zenius Apps.

Understand the Project

Despite focusing on visual design, it is imperative for me to comprehend the overarching goals of the project both from a business perspective and as specific objectives for the feature. To achieve this understanding, I thoroughly reviewed all pertinent documents and requirements. Additionally, I engaged in comprehensive discussions with key stakeholders and the PD lead responsible for UX/logic wireframes.

Here are key highlights from the wireframes showcasing this feature.

Wireframe

1. The Homepage/Landing page
The central hub of this feature, encompassing the header, user profile, fundamental subjects, and a shareable function.

2. Countdown page
Designed to gamify the experiential process, this page adds an element of excitement to the user journey.

3. Practice Question
The core functionality of this feature, this page serves as the testing ground where users practice and respond to questions.

4. Result
After users complete their practice session, this page allows them to review and analyze their results.

5. Key Answer (Pembahasan)
Similar to popular quiz apps, this section aims to enhance user understanding by providing detailed explanations of the practice session they just completed.

Objective

After comprehending each requirement, the following objectives outline the goals I aim to achieve for this project:

1. Enhance Fun and Gamification:
We aim to infuse a more cheerful and gamified atmosphere into the final design. Our objective is to transform this feature into an engaging and enjoyable experience for users during practice sessions.

2. Initiate Art Direction Development:
Beyond the visual appeal, a key strategy for this project is the initiation of art direction for the Zenius app. Establishing a unique visual identity is crucial for our app to possess distinct characteristics and leave a lasting impression.

Curating mood boards and gathering inspiration in alignment with our strategy.

Moodboard & References

With the objective in mind, I have consolidated all the mood boards and references into a single repository. I specifically opted for bright colors to ensure a visually appealing and contrasting aesthetic.

Now it's time to Explore-Explore-Explore

This phase is particularly challenging as we strive to craft a design. It necessitates thorough exploration, not just limited to one or two iterations. We delve into various scenarios, layouts, and visual styles to achieve an outstanding design. The depth of our exploration directly correlates with the quality of our final design.

I create multiple explorations to make a good design

-Until at the end I found an exploration that I want

After conducting multiple explorations and gathering ideas through various iterations, I have arrived at the visual direction to be pursued for future designs. I have decided to incorporate a gradient color scheme, introduce a visual style reminiscent of paper cutouts, and integrate multiple shapes to serve as distinctive characteristics for certain features within Zenius Apps.

-Why did I opt for a gradient color scheme and use shapes as distinctive characteristics?

To infuse a vibrant and lively visual experience, I chose a gradient color scheme, believing it adds a sense of fun and excitement. Regarding the use of shapes, the intention is to imbue each feature in Zenius with its own distinct characteristic. This way, users can readily identify and associate the visual elements with specific functionalities.

Essentially, our goal is to assist users in recalling features not solely through text but also by providing visual identifiers in the form of distinct shapes.

Outcome

Following the release of this project, it garnered widespread satisfaction among stakeholders and users, receiving positive feedback. To date, Zencore has emerged as one of the most popular features within the Zenius app.
